The primary material I use is Japanese hardwoods processed into solid wood boards.
Solid wood refers to timber that has not been joined, extended, or laminated. Essentially, it’s the wood in its purest form, preserving the natural essence of the tree in every cut and grain.
What makes solid wood exceptional is the unique grain, knots, and even its aroma—these are the true character traits of the tree. However, working with solid wood requires careful drying and processing to prevent issues like warping or cracking, as wood remains sensitive to humidity and temperature even after it’s been crafted.

In the furniture world, materials like laminated wood and plywood are also widely used.
